fc8 shut down

Dears;

i install the fc8 with two desktop gnome and KDE, so how i can shut down computer from a terminal in both the desk tops.

su -l
#enter root password
shutdown -hP now

shutdown and poweroff system
as an alternative you can add your user/group to sudoers and run it via sudo

sudo shutdown -hP now
#enter password

for all available shutdown options

man shutdown
