Fedora text mode to GUI mode problem - Help -!

Hi all,

I am a newbie to linux and i installed linux in Lenovo T61. When i was installing there were two options

1) GUI mode: after taking this option, the screen goes blank so i turned to text mode.
2) Text mode: The installation went fine and when i login with root i try a command 'startx' and the screen goes blank and never returns.

Plz help me to go into the GUI mode.

Best Regards
