vnc client Fedora 7 server Mac OS X.4 keyboard problem

Hi,

on Fedora 7 side, I have vnc client 4.1.2-19 (updated two days ago),
on Mac OS X.4.11 side, I have Apple VNC server (activated in Sharing > Remote Desktop preferences).

*First problem, with workaround :
the VNC client does not work unless you select Full colors in VNC preferences; then, display is very slow (bandwidth 13 Mb/s), unless you change display on Mac side to thousand colors at most (instead of millions).

*Second problem, for which I am still looking for a solution: keyboard (non US) configuration is not recognized. In Mac OS, there is a Keyboard Setup Assistant, but it does not work: while using it in VNC mode, I have this message "you have pressed a key on your built-in keyboard, please press a key on your external keyboard".

Thanks for advice.
