Setup a small office file server.

I'm in the process of designating one of my computers as a home file server.

I have managed to setup Samba and the shares are working, until I must reboot the file server. At that point, I have to open the Samba config utility, enter the root password, etc. The settings remain, however, they are not accessible until I open the app and enter the root password.

Is there any way I can make this available when the system boots? Even if the computer is sitting at the login screen?

Please advise how this can be done.

Thanks.
