Fonts get smaller after upgrading Nvidia driver to 169.07 in dual monitor mode

After I upgraded the Nvidia driver (from livna) to 169.07 and reconfigured the dual monitor, I found the fonts and terminal windows get much smaller than before. However, when the external monitor is not connected, the fonts and terminal windows get back to the original size. Anybody else has this strange question? I'm using F8.
