Exclamation Fan Control Help

Hi,
so far I like how the people in this forum help people out.

i installed FC2 on my PC this morning and i like FC2 more than the other distros out there
but with all distros,

i have the same problem that fan does not go silent and its goin MAX speed and when i checked my bios the pc was at 70 Degress. Meanwhile In Windows Its Cooler.
How Can I Fix this? I Have Read The Other Forums But I Have Not Been Able To fix this problem.

I Have ACPI enabled and /proc/acpi/ directory has sum empty folders such as FAN, THERMAL_ZONE and a few others are empty for some reason

Im a linux n00b and I want to have Linux as my main OS
thanks for the help

Hi Agian,

I Retried those solutions but non seem to work. Ive Noticed That My /proc/acpi/ directory has folders but almost ALL of those folders are empty.

I also see a folder for the manufacterer of my mobo which is "asus". I think i hit another dead end. I read in the other forums that u can enable cpuspeed that came with FC2.

I found that service and it was checked and it said that the service is stopped. then i click start and it says that it has been started and in the window it says its still stopped.

Is there any other solution for this Fan problem?

Ill continue to read more forums

Thanks.
