brasero + problems burning cd's

hi to all,

used fc6 and brasero everything was fine with burning cd's

now using fedora 8 and can't use brasero because
brasero ist telling me: the medium is not writable

installed brasero with yum so I think all depencies should be solved

I have no idea to proceed.......

I like brasero because it is simple and useful enough ( multisession cd's....an so on...... )

thanks for your help

martin

Some buring software will not burn to mounted media. So in my case I turn off the 'autofs' service before putting in my discs to burn. Then I start K3b and it normally works just fine. Try that and see if it helps. I also noticed if I forget to do this, once the buring software errors out, I cannot burn anything till I reboot....

hi kid,
hi to all,

the curious thing is, k3b works fine, also gnomebaker ( yes all kinds of cd's, audio, iso and so on .....)

i think it's just a problem of brasero maybe more a problem of the current rpm of fedora 8 maybe

using now k3b but brasero is still simple and small
if someone has an idea many thanks........

martin
