Gaim Plugins (solved)

Gaim will not acknowledge that there are new plugins in /usr/lib/gaim. Even the RPM for gaim-festival installs the .so in the correct dir, but Gaim doesn't see it in the plugins options. No luck with ~/.gaim/plugins, either. Anyone know a step I missed or have a similiar problem. FC2 and Gaim .81. Thanks.

I also saw that. Is it maybe a problem with a gaim version or something? I have actually used the exact same plugins on Fedora before. Coppied it straight to a USB stick.

Got a little something on #gaim. Thanks to grim.
ran gaim -d and got:

plugins: /usr/lib/gaim/festival.so is unloadable: /usr/lib/gaim/festival.so: undefined symbol: gaim_get_buddy_alias

and

plugins: /usr/lib/gaim/autoprofile.so is unloadable: /usr/lib/gaim/autoprofile.so: undefined symbol: gaim_get_buddy_alias

I'll keep looking.

Solved it. Ended up regressing back to .80 and compiling fresh plugins. Apparently .81 has problems with alot of older plugins.
