format USB drive

So i am having an issue with my USB drives. For some reason my FC8 can not read any USB drive that is a fat32. I loaded up Ubuntu and it can read them just fine. In FC8 i do a

lsusb

And it finds my device but under

fdisk -l

it lists nothing for removable. I even try gointo to disk managment and all it finds is my harddrive. So how do i format it in FC8 if it cant read it or find it.

Thanx guys
