Maybe some of you might know or have the same problem I'm having... I have a dell Inspiron E1405 running FD8 with the dumb ipw3945 network card. A lot of users having been having trouble with this card. They told me I should us the other iw3945 I think that's what it's called. It works find on my laptop right off the bat. The only thing is that the led light does not light up.
Well here's the problem I'm having... I notice that both netowrkManager/Display were turn off in the service. Right when I started up I see the little icon next to my time going around in circle 2 little green dots. The problem I'm having is that if I'm connected to a wire network (cat5 cable) I lose my dns and ip address that I assigned the card. I have to restart the network over to make it work. In FC7 I was able to run both wire and wireless card.
Is anyone having this kind of problem with networkmanager?
