How to use NetworkManager applet as a stand alone app?

Hi all,

Right now I'm connecting to wireless networks using the NetworkManager applet of Gnome.
Everything works great, but eventually I don't want to use Gnome but only a very simple window manager. Is it possible to run the applet as a stand alone application without Gnome?
