I installed it on the c240, but not my e280. It might have been fine on that.

I don't convert mine simply because I wouldn't be able to play it in either of my vehicles.

I love the thought of an open firmware like that, but I try not to cut my nose off to spite my face, and for my needs, Rockbox didn't cut it.

My caveat is that my needs usually don't match everyone else's. I know for a fact that Rockbox is heralded by many as the end-all be-all firmware for personal audio devices.
