Hello All!
I just want to start out by congratulating the folks in charge of the Fedora 8 release. Awesome work! I think it just found a permanent spot on my HDD.
Anyways, I woke up this morning with the update icon in the notification area saying that I have 179 updates available. Is it normal to have this many updates with Fedora? Other distros that I have used only seemed to have this many when doing a fresh install a month or two after the newest release. I never saw that many overnight.
So, I wanted to go ahead with the updates but to my dismay, I have a list of package dependencies that cannot be found through yum (attached as txt).
I have modified the repositories quite a bit to get mpeg video, sound, as well as other things with the help from
this script. Would that have anything to do with the problems I'm having?
