Question 179 Updates Overnight (With Depend. Probs)? Is This Normal?

Hello All!

I just want to start out by congratulating the folks in charge of the Fedora 8 release. Awesome work! I think it just found a permanent spot on my HDD.

Anyways, I woke up this morning with the update icon in the notification area saying that I have 179 updates available. Is it normal to have this many updates with Fedora? Other distros that I have used only seemed to have this many when doing a fresh install a month or two after the newest release. I never saw that many overnight.

So, I wanted to go ahead with the updates but to my dismay, I have a list of package dependencies that cannot be found through yum (attached as txt).

I have modified the repositories quite a bit to get mpeg video, sound, as well as other things with the help from this script. Would that have anything to do with the problems I'm having?

Results from "yum repolist enabled":

Thanks for any help in advance!
