how to create a boot-cd

Hi there,

I have installed FC7 on my laptop.
Everything is fine and I got everything working quite immediately.
My question is:
How can I create a boot cd ?
I think that a boot cd is necessary and I should take it always with me, but I don't know
how to create it......could you help me?

thanks a lot.

Ciao

PS
I should point out that on my pc I have 2 linux operating system and
also windows
may be this should be a point to take care when creating the boot cd.

What kind of boot cd would you like to create? There is a HOWTO called The Linux Bootdisk HOWTO at The Linux Documentation Project. One of the sections is on how to create a Boot CD.

You could also just download a Live CD iso and that would be a boot CD too. Technically the installation DVD or CD is also a boot DVD/CD.

Hi,
thank you, I going to have a look to the HOWTO guide...
I don't really know how many types of boot cd there are.
I know that it is possible to create a boot cd for the operating system which is installed in order to
have the possibilities to use this cd when some bad luck happen...
as for example when for some reason you loose the grub start up and you can not have FC7 starting....
This is the reason why I am trying to create this cd.
Thank you

The rescue CD is a good one to have around when you have trouble booting. Check out Section 3.3. Which Files Do I Download? of the install guide. You can find these images on one of the mirror sites.
