It's
incredibly poor taste to take your superpowers as a moderator to reply to threads that have been closed. You guys are well on your way to creating an Us vs. Them mentality in this category. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Don't use the fact that nobody can reply to leave your words of wisdom at the end of the thread.
I'm not trying to bash anyone, but I've run community sites for years and I've handed moderating keys to a lot of people. In all instances, they went batshlt crazy at the start because they felt that they needed to earn their pay, when in reality it just needed to continue on the way it has. It's quickly growing tiring to see dead threads spanning the front page with golden nuggets of wisdom continuing in the closed threads by those deemed worthy of continuing the thread by the forum.
Just take it easy guys and try to remember that you're here for the people, not the other way around. From my moderator's welcome post:

I don't think that any of you need to hear this, but safety first:
Please don't allow your status to cause you to hold it over anyone here. The purpose of a mod is to help or serve the members, not to threaten them or cause a problem. If you do your job well, nobody will know that you're different than anyone else. DO NOT use your newfound features in the forum to do anything for your personal gain(replying to a closed thread because you need to get the last word in). It's bad form, and you'll piss the injuns off in a hurry. If someone calls you a ******, blow it off and move on. Don't fall into the trap of causing the same problems that you're supposed to be solving.
