fedora kernel spec file and vanilla kernel

I noticed that in the specfile for the latest fedora kernel there's an option for building a vanilla kernel rpm, without any patch - but I didn't understand which "%define" should I set for this, or which option to use on the rpmbuild command line.
I started searching in the fedora-kernel mailing list archives but - so far - to no avail.
Can someone shed some light on this?

Wouldn't just deleting or commenting out the entire patch section be easier ?

Not really. The kernel specfile is very complex - try reading it and you will see. Anyway, I already did that - now I'd like to understand how it work this new option.

I have....

And that's why I suggested deleting the section where patches are applied is easier than searching everywhere for some option that may exist which will just cause rpmbuild to ignore it.

I found the explanation in the specfile itself - I missed it at the first read.
Thanks anyway.
