no ntfs partition loaded after update

after i updated to fuse-2.7.0-3.fc7 the kernel cannot load my ntfs partition. the other ext3 partitions are loaded but not the xp one. downgrade to 2.6.5 works ok. i tried with the old ntfs-3g package but the only way to overcome this ways to downgrade the fuse and the fuse-libs.
should i file a bug report about this?

What is the error message if you enter:
Code:
mount -t ntfs-3g <device> <mountpoint>

Having the same problem here. Get no errors doing it manually. All works well if doing it manually. But its bothersome having to do it everytime I reboot my box.
idn't change anything in my fstab. The ntfs partitions simply stopped mounting at boot after the update

It didn't kill me to help you, would it kill you to say whether it worked or not? And what about thanks?

Then perhaps it's again SElinux. Does it mount during boot if you disable SELinux?

here again - doing it manually doesn't got any error. the selinux doesn't have to do with it. the fstab is read before it starts and it loads all partition except the ntfs.

but after downgrade evrything is working again. i think it is a bug in fuse or fuse-libs.

I get the same problem. On boot, I get dropped to the "text" interface and it shows the NTFS volumes are not being mounted. I can mount the partitions when I'm in Desktop though.

I just did a quick check on the bug reports and guess what? There's a fix waiting to be released (edit: or more correctly, I should say that it's still in development)

Here's the bug report and fix info:

yes when set to permissive, but not with it set to enforcing.

Maybe download/try this fix in this thread:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla...?id=249943#c12

(Read the comment following it for instructions)

Works for me in "Enforcing" mode now

SELinux/NTFS problem is apparently fixed in selinux-policy 2.6.4-33.fc7.

See here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla...?id=249943#c16
