    Angry media player?

    HI Guys

What would you guys suggest as a good media player for playing wmv, mpeg and mov files on fedora core 6.

On suse I used to use mplayer which worked wel but after downloading it for fedora core and trying to install it I get faced with a very log list of dependencies...

my internet cap is rather limited and I don't want to sit for a week to download a lot of packages etc... to resolve the dependencies for one program.

    Any ideas?

    For mplayer:
    Code:
    yum install mplayer-gui
The default media player in Fedora is Totem which uses the gstreamer framework by default.
To enable most codecs in Totem:
    Code:
    yum install totem gstreamer-ffmpeg gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-ugly

BTW: yum is the dependency-solving software updater/installer. It should be your first choice as a method of installing software in Fedora.

Also, make sure you have the Livna repo configured on your system:
    For FC6:
    Code:
    rpm -Uvh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-6.rpm
    For F7:
    Code:
    rpm -Uvh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-7.rpm
