Fedora 2 Test doesn't like old hardware

I have installed Fedora 2 Test 3 times now in the past 24 hours. It seems it isn't real fond of my old 333 Pent II with 256 meg of ram. I have it running now, but am hesitant about letting yum doing any upgrades. The 2 times I let it upgrade I had to end up reloading off the CD. I am to the point of thinking that "bleeding edge" technology isn't going to work on such "non bleeding edge" hardware.
