Contents of usr/src

Hello,

I am very new to Linux. I just installed Fedora Core 2 the other day and it seems that I am missing something. I am unable to use the "make" command. I was looking under /usr/src. I get the following when I type "ls":
LinuxCD Redhat

Shouldn't there be the source kernel directory instead of the Linuxcd. What can I do to get "make" to work?

Thanks in advance.
