Genome to KDE where

Ok I changed the in boot options to use KDE and not genome.
I logged out, rebooted but the desktop looks the same.
How can I change from genome to KDE?

KDE has more windows like looks.

First, did you install KDE? If not, you can do it with yum or yumex

yum groupinstall 'KDE (K Desktop Environment)'
Once you've done that, you should find KDE listed in your login screen and it should definitely look different. You can also set it as 'default' with this tool:

Yes I did install both gnome and KDE. I had changed it to KDE. But see no difference anywhere.

Yum for some reason is not working despite 2 fresh installs of fc7

Ok, basically on fedora you cannot remove gnome(easily anyway). You can add Kde. When you get to the login screen there should be a little box that says sessions, click it, there should be a little box that says something about Kde, click that. You should now be able to login using kde. While I run gnome 95% of the time I do run Kde for some stuff.
