ushare (upnp media server) 500 internal server error

im trying to transfer files to my ps3 using ushare.. seems simple but I keep getting the 500 internal server error message.. I don't believe I have a firewall enabled.. sexlinux is disabled... ive port forwarded the port ushare uses through my router and yes it's upnp enabled.. on the ps3 the files/directory shows up for ushare but when I try and play them it says check the network settings ive tried on the computer itself to access the files but still the error.. anyone have any idea? fot the heck of it I made sure a test file can be viewed/modified by others and can run but it didn't help
