Linux FC6 top spec

Hi Guys

I would like to build myself a top spec linux pc and was wondering if you guys could recommend what hardware would make a high end workstation

the kind of thing I am looking as is

gpc what works well with dual screen
cpu

Spec is E6300 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo. How would that processor compare to a
3.4GHz P4 socket775 - would the software run faster or slower? or would you recommend a high spec chip

memory I will want to run many vmware os in as I have found this to be really useful when doing support calls

Michael

any advise

well then you need about 2 gb of ram (brand name ram so it also works like it should)

the c2d will make linux happy anyway you use it

dual screen can get very tricky though =/

my 2 cents
