Cannot to IRC servers

I have an SMC barracade router. Eeverything works fine apart from connecting to IRC server. I get the message "connecting ..... ", but it goes into retry after a long wait.

I guess the problem is with the port forwarding, or maybe with SELinux and to be frnak, I cannot figure out both of them.

Can some1 please send me a hint ?

Thanks and regards,
mha
