Flightgear in FC5 help!

Hi guys, i'm new here, but it was google that brought me to this wonderful site!

Ok, heres my question, I downloaded the most recent flightgear, installed it, and ran it. The program would crash just after saying it was loading "planes"

here is there error i get:

[rob@localhost ~]# fgfs
fgfs: /usr/lib/libGL.so.1: no version information available (required by /usr/lib/libglut.so.3)
fgfs: indirect_vertex_array.c:1359: __indirect_glTexCoordPointer: Assertion `a != ((void *)0)' failed.
Aborted

anyone else experience this problem? and fixes? thanks in advance for any replys!

No help, but you might have more luck on the FlightGear mailing list. There are lots of helpful people there with experience specific to FG.
