Question Ftp Instalation

I try to install from FTP, but every time it gives me an error, that it can't find anaconda2006... repodata.xml, or something like that. Now, I ask, why oh why does it have to complain only after forcing me to add another 5-6 options, and why doesn't it check right away to see if the address is good? And why does it have to exit the setup every single time I make the slightest mistake? (A couple of times I received some exceptions, oh those were really nice). Is that what they call user-friendly? No intention to offend anybody. Please help me, and tell me how should I configure that darn path. Thank you in advance.

P.S. (Sorry I ask something that has been asked 809798789 times before)

You really need to post a little info in between your rant.
*HOW* did you attempt to install ftp ? What fedora are you running ?

As root type "yum install ftp" and see where that gets you. You don't need any other options.
Post the output please.

I figured it out. I had to go until the i386/os part. WITHOUT putting a trailing backslash. Trial & error rules. But it seems fedora doesn't have the same idea. If it wouldn't have forced me to reboot one zillion times, and start over it would have been fine. But it does more than that. Not only does it force you to reboot if you make a mistake with the ftp address, but it does so after having you choose a lot of options. I really hope it was all bad luck (including the exceptions that, in their turn, forced me to reboot) and that after installation I will really see the way fedora is friendly with it's users.
