VPN setup

Hi all

Whats the best way to setup a VPN gateway in FC5 or 6, and what is best software to use?

Scenario: two separate LANs, I want a VPN tunnel between the two 'gateway' computers.

My side of it is going to be using linux (of course!), the other side is M$.

I was thinking that I setup VPN gateway on my nix box, port forward the appropriate port(s) to the gateway PC, the windoze side logs in as a client, then we're all happy. (better than making the windows XP side act as a server I figure)

Is above the right thing to do - or can you have a 'peer to peer' type VPN config (as opposed to client-server)?
