Slow start up 32 bits Firefox

I installed seperate copy of 32 bit firefox and xine in a 64 bit FC5, the statup of the two applications took almost one minute . I already added all necessary files to readahead so that they all load into memory during boot up.

Does anyone know is this normal or there exists some way to improve the startup performance?
