Input Remapping for Macbook

Does anyone know of a way to map the F keys properly on a Macbook? I was trying to install Windows 2003 in a Xen domain and couldn't press F8 to accept the EULA when I discovered that the keys weren't mapped. Also I need to be able to map the Pause key to something. For the F keys I tried following instructions that had previously worked for an Ubuntu dual-boot, but to no avail.

thanks
