Does anyone know how to change the software of Thomson TCM 425 modem?
I just want to connect two equal modems to each other (from one LAN to another one, in a long distance).

The distance is about 200meters~600ft. Currently i have a switch between the connections (ethernet maximum distance is arround 100m~300ft), but it is always limiting bandwidth till it finally burns all the ports. And the maximum distance the modem accepts is more than 5miles, so it should solve the problem?!!?.

I just need to configure the modem to act as a switch. Is this possible?
The problem is that when i connect my pc to the modem it gives me an ip (149.112.50.*) and the modem's address is 149.112.50.65, but i whould like it to work like a switch.
