Error message when starting xmms

Hi guys,

everytime i run xmms program...

> A box pops up that says:
> "Couldn't open audio
> Please check that:
> Your soundcard is configured properly
> You have the correct output plugin selected
> No other program is blocking the soundcard"

> and I get the following under the terminal windows..

> ALSA lib conf.c:1578snd_config_load1) _toplevel_:51:23:No such file or
> directory
> ALSA lib conf.c:2823snd_config_hook_load) /etc/alsa/cards/aliases.conf

But when I click the play button under xmms, it does play the songs, then sound does come out from speaker...

And another question is, how to start xmms from GUI interface, instead of start under terminal using command? And how do I make it autorun during every startup?
