Hello everybody.
I am posting because I have been trying to change (with a custom icon) the Fedora logo on the left side of the Gnome Menu Bar you have when you use Bluecurve.
My problem is that I went to /usr/share/icons/Bluecurve/apps/
nx
n/the-name-of-the-icon.png and I saw it was a link, so I directed myself to the origin, that is /usr/share/icons/hicolor/
nx
n/..., and found the .pngs I was looking for. I then made a .bak file of those I wanted to change, and created new .pngs with the very same name of those I had just backed up. I went back to /usr/share/icons/Bluecurve/apps/
nx
n/ and I saw all of the icons of the old files (links) change into the new. I was very happy...
...But! But when I saw the Menu Bar, it still carried the old Fedora Logo! All the other icons had changed, not this. If I click on the Panel to add anything, the window with all the applets listed appears, and where you have Gnome Menu and Menu Bar, THE ICONS ARE THE NEW ONES. When I click on the "Places" tab, MY ICON is the one beside "About Fedora"... Even on the splash screen, after logging in, my icon appears when the "panel" is loading. I just can not make it on the Menu Bar.
I have even searched ".png" in "Filesystem". Now I know that there are more than 21000 .pngs in my computer, but the old Fedora logos that come out are all .baks, that is to say those I had found and backed up...
If anyone can help, I will really appreciate (and if this thing happens for a reason and someone actually knows why, please explain me).
Thank you.
