How can I get rid of the "Suspend" item in the System Menu?

Hi, The suspend item in the system menu (fc5) does suspend my laptop but
waking up the system gives a black screen and I cannot get a different virtual
terminal going...

How can I remove this item? The "Edit Menus" program does not see this menu
item and neither does alacarte.

Jerry
