Unhappy bad EIP value

Hello,
I am a new Fedora user and was fast becoming a convert but have run into a problem. I have Fedora 3 installed and it was working fine until now. I started it as normal and after the boot sequence started to initialize the hardware I got this message and startup halted:

[<0213ba4a>] sys_init_module +0x207/0x2ef
bad EIP value
audio<6>USB Universal Host Controller Interface drive v2.2

I do not have anything plugged into the USB port and have no audio attached.
I have been searching without success for answers. The only other problem I have had with the system in the month that I have been using it, was when I installed a new monitor and had to find my way into the configuration file and edit it. Since then it has been no problem.

I am at the stage of thinking that I will have to reinstall but I would rather repair. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks.
