Commad to restart X

What I want to do is to write a lil script that allow me to switch from dual view to single view and vizeversa.

But for this purpose I need to know how to restart X server from command line, because Ctrl+Alt+Backsapce dont help in this situation .

I suppose you could send the "X" command the kill signal and then run startx...
You might also look at running a script to change the init level.

Code:
killall X Xorg xorg
or
Code:
init 3; init 5
will also do it.
