VSFTPD Can't connect

Hello All,

I have a strange problem, when I try to login to my ftp with an account I just created it get the following error:

Connected to 172.17.137.11.
220 Welcome to Sioux City Truck Sales, Inc. FTP Server !!!
User (172.17.137.11:(none)): ftpguest
331 Please specify the password.
Password:
500 OOPS: cannot change directory:/mnt/ftp
500 OOPS: child died
Connection closed by remote host.

Now this only happens with my ftpguest account. I can login just fine with my proxy account. The only thing different about them is the name, password and home dir.

Any Ideas?

What are the contents of vsftpd.conf?

It looks like it just my /mnt dir. I can do other folders. I chmod -Rv 777 /mnt and it still won't let me do anything in the mnt dir.

Ok... I see what it's doing. The ftp folder is actually a smbfs mount point. It looks like vsftp doesn't like it.

Is there a way to make vsftp see a smbfs mounted dir?
