computer shuts off during install

I tried it twice. When I run the instal dvd all goes fine and looks like installation is going along nicely, then it just shuts off. Completely powers off. I go look from windows. The partition was created. I install the disk again, it asks me if I want to upgrade fedora.

The DVD passes the media test.

I don't know what to do, do you?

Coule it be that your system is overheating? Can you list the spec of your machine including power supply and all those goodies...

This is my computer. I suppose it could be overheating, but I never hear the fan running all that hard. Maybe that is the problem.

First, I would put something underneath to elevator one side of your laptop (the side with all the connectors on the back) up for better air circulation. Then, check the BIOS to make sure the fan is running 100% instead of scaling...

By the way, that is a nice laptop! It puts my crappy HP to shame...
