Problems burning .iso

Hi, i recently downloaded FC4 x86_64 and when i burn it and try to boot from cd it doesnt work. i've tried burning the .iso file and extracting the file and burning those files onto a disc, niether work. the system im trying to install on still has a copy of windows xp on it that i want to get replace with FC4. any help on getting the boot discs to work right and getting rid of xp would be great..

From Windows, I've had success using TeraByte Unlimited's BurnCDCC™.
terabyteunlimited.com
burncdcc.zip

Although it takes longer, I'd recommend burning the ISO files at a slow speed (more successful).

thanks for the advice, im trying a new program called cute cd/dvd burner and burning at a slower rate...i hope this works i want this installed on my system! but if not i'll try your program

An .iso file has to be burnt as a disk image, not as a file!, extracting the .iso will only result in boot information loss, so the resulting CD/DVD is not bootable. Pretty much any burning program will be able to burn as image.

Easy solution that always worked for me with XP - download this free program: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/ , then simply click on the ISO button and let it do it's thing. Never had a bad burn either.
