I'm in the process of setting up filesharing on a home network of four linux only PCs using NFS. All connect to a router by wires or wirelessly and receive their ip addresses from the router by dhcp. Because these can change on reboot it would be useful if all the machines had different hostnames for identification on the network. At the moment they are all localhost.localdomain or something similar. Is it possible to change these to idetifiable names without screwing up my network and the shared internet connection?
