Nostromo GamePad

Hey I am trying to install the drivers for my Nostromo GamePd from belkin. The instructions say to do

Installation:
su
modprobe evdev
chmod a+rw /dev/input/event1
tar xvfz nostromo_driver-0.1.3.tar.gz
cd nostromo
make | make gl | make algl
but when I get to the ' modprobe evdev' it says 'FATAL: Module evdev not found.'

can anyone help me out with this..

I am using FC4
