    Transaction Check Error

I've recently installed FC4 on my 64 bit machine.
I installed using the "Everything" option (in terms of package choice on the installation DVD).
And I'm having problems doing my "yum update" to bring everything up to date.
I have installed one or two other items (like ntfs filesystem support) as well, so this isn't purely "yum update" on top of the installation.

However, yum update fails with the following error:
    Code:
Transaction Check Error: package kernel-2.6.13-1.1532_FC4 (which is newer than kernel-2.6.13-1.1526_FC4) is already installed)
I'm not sure how I've ended up in this situation - whether I've installed something I shouldn't have, or whether this is a problem with the out of the box installation - I guess the former is much more likely
Although having said that, I did have errors right from the DVD install when I initially tried to use the GUI update mechanism (the red/blue circle app near the date/time) to setup automatic updates. It configured and ran and then told me there were errors and it couldn't install.

What do I need to do to get out of it?
Do I have to delete the newer kernel?
If I do delete the newer kernel, will that break lots of already installed packages?
If I need to, how do I delete the newer kernel?

    Help!
