so you want to browse the web? well first you need to make sure the network is up and running. try doing 'ping yahoo.com' to see if you get a reply. when you are sure you are connected to the internet, then point firefox web browser to your automatic proxy config URL : Edit > Preferences > General > Connection Settings > then at the bottom type the address.

hey Ray my fedora is running on network fine. i placed the path of automatic configuration script in the browser setting but it doesnt work.
when i put the website name in the browser and hit the enter, it shows website not found.
i think DNS resolution is not working fine for my local interanet.
since we use different gateway for different network.
when i place the ip in place of script in the borser string, it works fine.but by doing this at a time we can do only one thing(i.e surfing or local internet or telnet to other machine.)
we use many DNS server, but primarily only 2.

help me configuring the dns resolution.
or help me in ur own way.
