Madwifi on FC4

im trying to get kismet working but i am having a few problems with installing madwifi.
i have a proxim orinoco silver.
running FC4 (upgrade from FC2)

the instructions say:
copy the proper red hat kernel config file for your system into the kernel source folder.

where is the proper red hat kernel config file?
and where is the kernel source folder?

anyway ... when i run #make i just get the message:

*** KERNELCONF: /lib/modules/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4/build/.config does not exist

thanks for any help...
