Thank you 1Lazarus- I think I will try starting this over and trying again---not sure if it will install from the home directory- since this latest download was sent to /opt (recommened from fedorausers.org)--I still have the first one I did in home, so I will try and delete the one with /opt- cause placing that "." in the ln command did not give me an error....

still can't get the java applet to work
