Kernel Oops: 0000[1]

Hi there, I'm using FC4 x86_64 it's up to date,
since I upgraded to kernel 2.6.12-1.1390_FC4-x86_64 (and the kernel modules to fglrx and ntfs) I'm getting radomly the following message "localhost kernel: oops: 0000[1]" and the machine just freezes.
I'm not THE linux user, I have some knowlage but I don't even know where to start hunting what's the problem, I'm asceptical to hardware problems because it's brand new.
Where could I start hunting what happened? logs? wich ones?

Some machine aspecs here if it helps
