Compile options in an rpm package

Is there a way to tell which specific compile options were used when building an rpm package?

I'm wanting to verify that some packages were built with ldap support. I know I can always rebuild them with those options, but it would be nice to verify it beforehand.

Thanks,
AC

You can fulfill this by compiling the source. As a rule, the RPM packages are installing everything default as it configured. So as this point, I would recommend you that you want to install your packages to a specific place where you expected it to be, then tarballs are more appreciated for you.

Hope this helps.

I don't know of a specific way to do this, but some binaries provide a mechanism for getting this information. For example, httpd can be run as 'httpd -V' to list compile-time options.
