MS Intellimouse Explorer for bluetooth Scroll whell not working

Hi,
Am using FC3 and trying to get the mouse of subject to scroll. Have tried modifying xorg.conf, xmodmap and using imwheel. All to no avail. Seems that the events of the scrool wheel are not picked up by the kernel at all. Does anyone have any clues - I am a bit of a newbie
