Where can I find the list of keywords used in /etc/sysctl.conf ?

I googled and found the following article http://linux.about.com/library/cmd/b...ysctl.conf.htm which led me to the sysctl man page. This page states that
'The parameters available are those listed under /proc/sys/.'
So, the settings of the variables in /etc/sysctl.conf are aparently the items under /proc/sys.
