Scanner Trouble and "SANE" Another complainer.

I use a dual-boot Windows XP/fedora Core 3 computer.

My H-P scanjet 3500c works fine when Windows XP is the operating system.

I don't like to use Windows.

So I always use Linux Fedora Core 3.

I have followed CScheng's advice re how to download the H-P drivers for certaincertain
H-P products.

My scanner is connected to the machine via a USB plug.

It isn't detected when "/dev/usb/lp0" is run.

I'm thinking that the H-P scanjet 3500c is not supported.

Does anyone happen to know whether it's an unsupported H-P Scanner?

Any further guidance available?

Thank you,

William

I don't see the 3500 mentioned in man 5 sane-hp or man sane.

This page has info about the machine, but I don't know if this leads to getting it working in sane. Perhaps you can track down the module by the Realtek chipset it mentions.
