Hello,
I'm having some troubles installing FC3 64bit. I'll put the details in point form for your reading pleasure:
1) When I try to install from the 64bit FC3 DVD, it gets up to the point where it checks my media. I say OK to this, and it does it fine. However, after this, when it tries to switch to the GUI install menu, I see a whole bunch of garble on the screen.
2) If I use the text installer with the FC3 64Bit DVD, it works fine. When I reboot though, and it tries to go into the GUI, I get the same garble. I suspect it is actually booting up bethind their, cause when I ctrl+alt+del, it seems to shut down in an intelgent fashion (unmounting drives, etc).
3) The 32bit FC3 DVD installs just fine - No problems with anything.
4) I have downloaded the 64bit FC3 DVD twice now, from two difference sources - excact same problem with each.
I'll put the specs of my machine here also, if that helps:
CPU: Athlon64 3000B
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9
Memory: Corsair TWIN512-3200C2 (2 x 256MB Dual Channel Optimised Pair)
Video Card: PixelView PV-N44E(64LD) (GeForce 6200 64MB PCI-E)
HDD: Seagate ST3250823AS 250GB Serial ATA 150Mbps 7200rpm HDD 8mb Cache w/NCQ
I have tried installing with the SATA drive disconnected, and an old IDE drive connected, but that did not help.
Can anyone help me with this?
